Burn injuries can create life-changing situations and challenges. The theme for this year’s Burn Camp is “Be a Star in Life”with activities for the week revolving around a Hollywood, red carpet theme and empowering campers to star in their own lives and communities. Each year our Steering Committee works year-round to plan a new Burn Camp theme that makes each child’s experience fresh, unique, and more impactful. Our 29th annual Burn Camp will be held from August 13th-19th, 2023 at Camp Timber-lee in East Troy, WI. Monthly burn survivor support groups help patients and family members deal with the healing process. including adult and family retreats, outings and support groups. The dedication and participation of more than 100 burn survivors and volunteers makes this camp special for everyone who attends. Burn injuries can be devastating, causing physical, emotional, social and financial. Our Summer Camp for Burn Injured Youth, or “Burn Camp” for short, is a free, week-long, overnight summer camp experience for kids with life-changing burn injuries to grow their lifelong support system, continue to heal from the emotional trauma of their burns, and just be a kid.
